4-H Club is the Department of Agriculture's flagship program for the development of the youth especially those young generation who are in the field of agriculture and fisheries sector. In General Santos City, there are 11 clubs who are actively participating in the activities of the City Agriculturists Office with the initiative of Ms. Merlinda M. Donasco, the department head and the very active 4-H coordinator Ms. Paz Cutamora. This program encourage the young generals to participate in the nationwide struggle to alleviate the poverty and to ensure food security at the same time to enhance their knowledge, skills and attitude as they prepare to be future farmers and agricultural professionals.
June 7, 2011, with the joint effort of the City Agtriculture Office and the Federation of 4-H Club of General Santos, launched the 4-H Club Achievement Day. This one day activity gives opportunity for the young generals to showcase what they have when it comes to agriculture. Every Clubs must be represented to any of the following contest:
- 4-H Amazing Race
- Cooking Contest
- Vocal Solo
- Modern Dance
- Ms. 4-H 2011

With this kind of activity, it help the youth to come out of their shells and erase the mind set of being inferior because of being a farmer.
